Police chase through city streets ends with arrest outside McDonald’s

This shocking video shows a car being chased by scores of police through the streets of Birmingham. The white car, which had a broken bumper hanging off, was being pursued by a long line of marked and unmarked cars with sirens blazing and lights flashing.[1]
The car was being driven recklessly in the wrong lane and smashed into an oncoming vehicle as it veered into the left lane of a roundabout. The vehicle slowed down to a stop and was immediately surrounded by police.
The footage was taken by a member of the public from a grass verge by a McDonald's[2] restaurant on Parsons Hill, Kings Norton, on Thursday evening, June 29. Separately West Midlands Police[3] said officers were involved in a chase which ended in an arrest but gave no other details. It was not clear whether the tweet was linked to the pursuit.
WMP Traffic tweeted: "Sorry for all of the noise in Kings Heath and surrounding areas last night but we had a lengthy pursuit with a car stolen in a burglary resulting in the driver being arrested. We’ll post more details in the coming days." On Thursday evening, members of a Facebook group covering Kings Heath, Druids Heath, Yardley Wood, Maypole and Warstock asked about the helicopter and police cars passing through the areas.References
