Police at scene of crash on main road linking M5 and Evesham
Emergency services have once again been called to a stretch of the A46 across the border in Worcestershire. A collision on Monday has seen the road in Ashton under Hill partially blocked.
On Sunday, a woman pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision after being hit by a lorry near Ashton under Hill[1]. The road, which links the M5 at Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire with Evesham in Worcestershire, was closed for more than six hours for investigation work.
West Mercia Police said of Monday’s incident: “Officers are currently dealing with an RTC on A46 junction with Station Road, Ashton under Hill. The road is partially blocked but traffic is getting through slowly.”
Traffic and travel service Inrix said today: “A46 in both directions partially blocked, very slow traffic due to accident at The Groaten.”
