Pictures show new footbridge installed across railway in city’s …
The new footbridge crosses the line and connects Darnley Road and Moray Place in Strathbungo.
It replaces the historic Strathbungo Bridge which was dismantled in January[1] as part of the Barrhead to Glasgow rail electrification project.
The new structure will feature a toughened glass parapet once completed, and will incorporate elements inspired by the former bridge, including black and white colouring and balustrades that will match the railings already installed at Moray Place.
The original Grade C-listed footbridge was constructed in 1877 and has since been permanently relocated to Brechin in Angus.
