Pedestrian killed in M25 crash involving lorry
Police are now investigating the death of a pedestrian on the M25 who was involved in a collision with a lorry. The collision happened on Sunday (June 11) shortly after 11pm near Brentwood and caused part of the motorway to be closed for some time, only reopening at 6am on Monday morning.
Police were first called to the scene on a bridge over the motorway following concerns for the safety of a woman. On Monday afternoon (June 12) they confirmed a pedestrian had been pronounced dead at the scene following a collision.
Essex Police said that “enquiries around the circumstances of the collision are underway”. They also launched a public appeal for information, CCTV, and dashcam footage in relation to the incident.
Anyone with information can submit a report on Essex Police’s website or call 101. Anonymous reports can also be made through independent charity Crimestoppers, by visiting their website or by calling 0800 555 111.
