Lincolnshire Police have launched a murder investigation after a two-year-old girl died in a crash near Sleaford.

Emergency services were called to Main Road, Anwick at the weekend after a car hit a lorry.

The toddler who has been named as Oria Henry from Leicester was travelling in a Blue Nissan Quashqai being driven by 35-year-old Ashley Henry when it hit a lorry on Sunday afternoon at around 2.45pm.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives say they’re continuing to investigate what happened but have confirmed they’re treating the two-year-old’s death as murder and say they’re not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

They say they’re continuing to support the family involved and are urging anyone with information to get in touch.

Lincolnshire Police have said:

“If you have information that may help us in our enquiries, contact the force control room on 101 quoting incident number 264 of 18 June.”
