Motorway road closures to cause moderate delays for Bolton drivers

And five of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, from National Highways, shows that six closures are due to start over the next two weeks.

The first closure has been in place since June 19 and will continue until June 26.

The closure is on the A580, 9pm June 19 to 6am June 26, causing moderate delays between 10 and 30 minutes.

The closure impacts the M6 north and southbound, junction 21A to 26, this is for lane closures and carriageway closures due to improvement works.

The next closure begins on June 24 from 10pm until 10am June 25, the closure will cause moderate delays on the M61 between junction 3 and the A666 northbound and southbound.

This is due to a carriageway closure due to maintenance works.

From 9pm on June 26 until 6am July 3, there will be moderate delays on the M6 North and southbound from junction 21A to 26.

This is due to lane closures and carriageway closures due to improvement works.

From 9pm on June 27 until 5am June 28, there will be moderate delays on the M60 clockwise between junctions 13 and 15, this is for a lane closure for electrical works.

From 9pm July 3 to 6am July 10, there will be moderate delays on the M6 North and southbound between junctions 21A and 26.

This is for lane closures and carriageway closures due to improvement works.

Finally, from 9pm July 3 to 5am July 5 there will be slight delays on the M61 northbound between junction 4 and 5, this is a lane closure for drainage.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
