Manchester City parade: Everything you need to know from road …
Here’s everything you need to know for the Manchester City parade in the city centre later today.
After a very tense Champions League Final where the blue half of Manchester defeated Inter Milan in a close 1-0 victory, the treble winners will be parading through the city on a blue open-top bus to show off their silverware later today (Monday, June 12th).
City, who have become the second English (and Manchester) side to win a Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League treble, will be touring through the streets with the parade starting at 6.30pm.
At this time the bus will depart from Tonman Street, off Deansgate at the junction with Liverpool Road, close to the Hilton.

The Blues will then head down Deansgate before turning right at St Mary’s Gate, after the Slug and Lettuce. Continuing past Marks and Spencer, it will then make a right onto Cross Street and once it reaches the junction of King Street, it will turn left towards Brown Street, Booth Street and Nicholas Street until it reaches George Street.
Pep Guardiola, the City squad and backroom staff will then head towards Princess Street, where the bus parade will finish.
From 5.30pm there will be onstage entertainment while the squad are parading through the centre, before they arrive at the stage at approximately 7.30pm.
The parade will be hosted by Manchester City’s City Square presenters Danny Jackson and Natalie Pike, who will be joined by former players and special guests. There will also be live music from bands and DJs.

New for this year, three DJ booths will be dotted about the parade route to entertain crowds and keep the party pumping while fans celebrate a special treble victory.
From 7.30pm until 8.15pm a player presentation will take place on Oxford Street, close to the junction with Chepstow Street.
Due to the parade route and the set-up of a stage area, a number of roads will be closed and there will likely be congestion on neighbouring roads. Commuters and travellers are advised to use public transport where possible.
The easiest way to travel to the parade is on the Metrolink, with St Peter’s Square and Piccadilly Gardens being the closest stops to reach it.

From 2pm trams will be diverted from using Exchange Square and will instead travel via Shudehill and Market Street. This will be until 8.30pm.
Passengers are encouraged to pay via contactless to beat the queue at the ticket machines. If you decide to pay for your ticket this way, please remember that the ticket you are purchasing is for one adult only. It is not possible to touch-in and out for multiple tickets.
If you are travelling with children, a child or family travelcard will need to be purchased from the ticket machine.

“We’re sure the parade will be a joyous and unforgettable occasion as fans gather in the city centre to celebrate with the team a success which will resonate around the world and showcases once again Manchester’s huge sporting legacy.”
A number of roads across the city centre will be closed for the route and there is likely to be significant congestion on roads that remain open. Here are the following closures:

From 12pm (midday) to 12am (midnight) on Monday June 12th:

- Chepstow – Great Bridgewater to Oxford Road

Bus services will also be impacted due to road closures and congestion.

Train services are expected to be very busy. Please use Manchester Victoria or Manchester Oxford Road for rail journeys to and from the parade. Commuters are advised to check before travelling.
