M6 lorry crash live as woman hurt in collision

A car driver was injured in a crash with a lorry on the M6 southbound this morning (June 7). The collision happened between J7 and J6, near Perry Barr, earlier this morning (June 7.)

Paramedics rushed to the scene and found a woman, the driver of the car, with non-serious injuries. She received treatment at the scene and was later taken to Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham.

Two lanes were closed while emergency services responded to the incident. They have now reopened.

Motorists were hit with one hour traffic delays but the motorway has since returned to normal levels.
