M6 and M6 Toll crashes live as separate incidents delay motorists
Crashes on separate motorways in our region have caused delays for motorists. A multi-vehicle crash has taken place on the M6 Toll, stopping traffic in its progress.
Meanwhile, three vans collided on the M6 Northbound in the Black Country, causing lane closures and 20 minutes of delays. Firefighters, paramedics and police officers have been on the scene at the M6 Toll, where the crash happened between T6 Brownhills and T5 Lichfield.
National Highways West Midlands tweeted: “NEW INCIDENT #M6Toll[1] southbound between T6 #Brownhills[2] and T5 #Lichfield[3] #WestMidlands[4] @M6tollRoad[5] TRAFFIC STOPPED Due to a multi-vehicle collision @WestMidsFire[6] @OFFICIALWMAS[7] @CMPG[8] on scene.”
Meanwhile, traffic monitoring website Inrix said: “Queueing traffic and one lane closed due to accident, three vans involved on M6 Northbound from J10 A454 Wolverhampton Road (Wolverhampton / Walsall) to J10A M54. Congestion to J8 (M5 interchange). Cameras show lanes two and three (of three) are now open after a brief hold.”
