M1 reopens after repair work following lorry fire

Two hour delays remain as one lane opened for specific cars

National Highways: East Midlands have tweeted to confirm that the road remains closed and delays of two hours remain on the approach.

The tweet also adds: "*The outside lane (lane 4) is now open J29-J28, to let traffic caught within the closure pass the scene of this fire."

It appears cars at a standstill on the outside of the traffic will not be able to use this lane to pass the scene.
