LIVE: Railway lines from Manchester blocked after person hit by train
A number of railway lines from and through Manchester are blocked this morning after a person was hit by a train.
The person is believed to have been hit near Humphrey Park station in Trafford. All lines between Manchester Oxford Road and Warrington Central are currently blocked.
Routes affected include East Midlands Railway between Norwich/Nottingham and Liverpool Lime Street, Northern between Manchester Oxford Road and Liverpool Lime Street and TransPennine Express between Cleethorpes and Liverpool Lime Street.

Disruption is expected until at least 11am. A tweet posted by National Rail said: “#Flixton – The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Manchester Oxford Road and Warrington Central.
“Whilst they attend to the scene, all lines are currently closed. Trains may be cancelled, delayed or diverted as a result.”
