Live: M4 updates as serious crash closes M5 entry sliproad
The section of road that links the M5 and M4 near Bristol has been closed[1] after a vehicle, believed to be a lorry, reportedly “left the carriageway”. The incident happened around Junction 15 on the M5 northbound carriageway sometime before 8.30pm.
The link road between the M4 junction 20 eastbound and the M5 junction 15 northbound has been closed by emergency services. Drivers have been advised to continue to M4 junction 19 and return. According to National Highways there are no delays reported on approach to M4 junction 20. The sliproad is expected to be closed for several hours.
At this time it is unclear how serious this incident is or if anyone has suffered injuries. BristolLIve has contacted Avon and Somerset Police for further information.
