Live as crash causes three miles of queues on M6
Three miles of queues have snarled up the M6 following a crash between a car and a lorry. It has been reported that the accident has taken place on the M6 Southbound after J3 A444 Bedworth bypass.
Lane one of four was initially closed following the collision but, just before 4pm it re-opened. However, the impact of this is being felt on the motorway stretch.
Traffic site Inrix has reported queuing traffic for three miles with congestion backing up all the way along to Corley Services. The current travel time is 15 minutes.
This is likely to increase as more traffic hits the motorway as rush-hour approaches. We have contacted both Warwickshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service about the incident.
