Letter: ‘Please take action over offensive graffiti’

There is a huge graffiti spread over the walls of the railway tunnel leading into Poole Park in Whitecliff Road.

After several reportings by myself and others, including ward councillors, it seems that BCP staff are helpless and it can only be removed by Network Rail. Really!

We have always prided ourselves in Poole in maintaining a ‘zero tolerance’ to any graffiti and I am sure this is not the first time that it has been on the walls of railway tunnels or bridges or other property belonging to the railway networks.

This reeks of another example of Poole being ridden roughshod over by the Bournemouth-centric BCP Council.

It is, even more shamefully, the beginning of the slippery slope for Poole to head down the same toilet as Bournemouth[1] – a town that has lost all pride in its town centre which is falling every day into further rack and ruin.

I am sure most, if not all, of the people of Poole would like some action and not excuses in getting rid of this offensive and glaring graffiti.
