Grimsby shopkeeper threatened with knife during robbery
A Grimsby shopkeeper was allegedly threatened with a knife before a robber ran away with stolen goods.
It's reported a man entered a shop on Hainton Avenue at around 9pm on Thursday between Margaret Street and Catherine Street. He threatened the shopkeeper with a knife before demanding money from the till.
He then fled with a bag of stolen goods towards Heneage Road. Anyone with information is being asked to contact the 101 non emergency number quoting log 668 of 15 June.
Humberside Police[2] said: "Officers investigating a robbery[3] are appealing for witnesses after a shopkeeper was threatened and items were stolen on Thursday 15 June in Grimsby[4].
"At around 9pm, it is reported that a man entered a shop on Hainton Avenue, between Margaret Street and Catherine Street, and allegedly threatened the shopkeeper with a knife before taking money from the till. It is believed he then fled with a bag of stolen goods onto Henage Road.
"We are appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident, or anyone who has CCTV that may assist with our enquiries, to contact us on our non-emergency 101 number quoting log 668 of 15 June."
