Great Blakenham Road closed after lorry spills chickens
Police were called to the incident in the B1113 near Great Blakenham at about 8.15pm on Monday.
Pictures show a number of dead chickens across the road.
Jack Hodges-Evans was driving behind the lorry before it shed its load.
He said: “I was behind the lorry and as it went round the sharp corner towards the A14, the side door flung open and all these chickens were flung across the road.
“Myself and several others helped the driver move them out of the road.”
A spokesman for Suffolk police said the road was clear by 11.30pm.
