Glasgow police race to Duke Street after crash involving e-scooter …

Police raced to Glasgow's Duke Street this evening (June 1) after a crash involving an e-scooter and a car.

The force was alerted to the incident at around 7pm. It's the second incident to take place on the east end[1] road today with a man having died after being hit by a lorry this morning.

It's understood the collision took place outside Coia's Cafe. It's not known whether there have been any injuries following this evening's incident.

Police[3] say they are looking into what happened.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 7pm on Thursday, 1 June, 2023, officers received a report of a crash involving an e-scooter and a car on Duke Street, Glasgow.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
