If you're planning on going to watch the English singer perform, there's a few things you might need to know before going to the Chepstow Racecourse. But don't worry, we've got everything you need to know including road closures, parking and banned items to name a few.
George Ezra will be supported by TikTok breakthrough star and triple BRIT Awards 2023 nominee Cat Burns, Mercury-nominated indie rockers The Big Moon and Limerick-based three-piece outfit Kingfishr. Cat Burns is a singer-songwriter from London, who has released various hit singles such as go, live more & love more as well as Home For My Heart. The Big Moon, also from London, are a indie rock band who have recently released their latest album - Walking Like We Do. Meanwhile, Irish-based folk band Kingfishr recently supported Dermot Kennedy. General Admission, VIP and Accessible gates will open at 4pm. Show times are always subject to change, but the organisers expect entertainment to start at 6pm and finish by 11pm. We've also asked for stage times, but the organisers were unable provide this information at time of publication. All Chepstow 2023 tickets are mobile entry, meaning your phone is your ticket so make sure it's well-charged before the event. You must download your tickets before heading to the site. Make sure to follow the instructions before leaving for your event to ensure that your tickets can be scanned for entry regardless of the connectivity at the venue. The instructions are listed below: 1. Download or update the latest version of the Ticketmaster app for the iPhone in the Apple App store or for the Android in the Android App store. 2. From the app, find your order in My Events. 3. View your tickets by tapping 'View Barcode'. Screenshots of your barcodes won’t get you in. Once you have viewed your tickets in the Ticketmaster App. You ticket is automatically saved so it is always ready. Make sure you do not log out of the app. You can download it to your digital wallet. iPhone users must follow the instructions above before arriving at the venue to access their tickets at entry as saving tickets to their digital wallet is not available at this time. Android users are still welcome to save their tickets to the digital wallet. Can you still buy tickets? Tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster here.[4] Tickets are available on the day at the box office at the main entrance to the event, but the organisers would advise pre-booking to avoid disappointment. Although there is no confirmed set list at the time of publication, in his most recent concert over in Luxembourg, George Ezra performed the following songs: As part of the traffic management plant, there are planned road closures in place to ensure the safety and security of all concert goers and residents on Friday and Sunday. Before the concert, which will be between 11AM and 8PM, the A466 Southbound closure will be between Itton Roundabout and Kingsmark Lane. Before the concert: South of Kingsmark Lane will be two way, but there will be no left turn out of Kingsmark Lane. There will be diversions in place via Chepstow B4293 and A48. The B4293 Westbound closure will be in force between Piercefield Avenue to Itton Roundabout. Although there will be a resident closure between Kingsmark Lane to Piercefield Avenue, there will be resident access to Piercefield Avenue, The Rosary and The Cloisters. Through out the event: The A48 to B4245 will have a manned closure but residents can access on Crick Road. After the concert: Between 9PM and 2AM, there will be a full closure between Devauden Road Junction at St Arvans to Itton Roundabout on the A466. Diversions will be in place via B4293. All of the closures will be manned throughout by the traffic management team with access to emergency vehicles only. Outside of these hours, the roads will be opened as usual. Park and Ride The cheapest and easiest way to get to the event. Park and Ride offers great flexibility and the quickest route directly to the event. There are two park and ride options available - Bristol and Chepstow - for the George Ezra event. Park and Ride: Chepstow 2PM - 8PM (a bus every 20 mins). Service will resume at 10.30PM with the last bus at 12:30AM. Park and Ride: Bristol 2PM - 8PM (a bus every 20 mins). Service will resume at 10.30PM with the last bus at 12.30AM. Shuttle Bus There will be a direct return shuttle bus from Newport Train Station to Chepstow Racecourse for all events over the weekend. Newport[7] Shuttle Newport Train Station in Queensway offers a ride to the racecourse for £7.50 per person. It will be operation from Friday to Sunday from 2PM until 8PM, with a bus travelling every 20 minutes. Service will resume at 10.30PM with the last bus at 12.30AM. There is one wheelchair accessible space per bus available. Public Transport There are a variety of public transport options available to get to Chepstow Racecourse. You can find links to local bus and train services to plan your journey ahead of the event on their website.[8] Taxi There is a dedicated taxi drop-off point which is located opposite the entrance to the racecourse. If using Uber, you can type in 'Chepstow Concerts' into the app and this will direct you to drop off point at the racecourse. Where should I park? On-site car parking is now sold out for George Ezra. Instead, it is recommended that you book Park and Ride options or Shuttles from Newport Rail Station. Roads around the venue will have no parking orders and illegally parked cars will be towed away, according to the organisers. Customers arriving at the venue for George Ezra without a pre-booked parking ticket will be re-directed to Park and Ride locations and may experience a severe delay returning against the arriving traffic. There is general admission, accessible and VIP car parking available to book at the Racecourse only for Lionel Richie. Car parking tickets can not be bought on the day of the show. If you have booked your tickets however, car parks at the Racecourse will open at 12pm. You will not be able to access the main arena until 4pm but organisers have recommend you arrive early to avoid queues. At the end of the concert, organisers expect the car parks to be very busy and it could take up to 2 hours to depart the site. The accessible viewing platform is available for customers with a wheelchair accessible ticket. It is raised platform located with prime view of the stage. There are accessible toilets and a changing unit located nearby. This area is for customers who require a wheelchair to make their experience comfortable. The following items are prohibited and will not be allowed into the racecourse: There will be a wide range of food and drink outlets available offering a range of options on site. Attendees for one night or for the full weekend have the option to camp, but must pre book before heading to the Chepstow Racecourse. No camping will be available on the day of the event. If you have pre-booked successfully, campers can have access to the private campsite, 24h reception and security, toilets and showers, pamper tent with blow dryers, straighteners, and mirror, as well as access to phone charging. You can arrive and check in from 2pm on the day of the event. You must check out by 10am the following day. Motorhomes are also permitted on site, but this will require a 'bring your own camping' ticket. Motorhomes must be self-contained. Caravans are not permitted on site.
