A huge new manufacturing and warehouse facility looks set to be built at a Suffolk[1] business park.
Developer Jaynic has submitted a reserved matters planning application to Mid Suffolk District Council for the 164,500 sq ft unit at Gateway 14 in Stowmarket[2].
The 2.36 million sq ft business park, next to junction 50 of the A14, is already home to a new 1.17m sq ft distribution centre for garden and leisure retailer The Range – due for completion by the end of the year.

It is part of Freeport East, including Felixstowe[3] and Harwich International, which is a new low tax, low regulation zone.
Ben Oughton, Jaynic development director, said they were submitting the planning application speculatively to maintain momentum for the site.
Pending approval, he said the building could be ready for an occupier within nine to 12 months on a freehold or leasehold basis for manufacturing or distribution uses.
He added: “The size of the unit is influenced by current demand and is well suited to this prime position at the entrance to Gateway 14.”
