A footpath is set to close until December and a Benfleet road is shutting for 89 days, among more south Essex works starting this month.

These are the footpath and road closures being put in place this month as works are set to start:

Footpath 57, Rawreth

This footpath is closing from its junction with Rawreth Lane Industrial Estate and Rawreth Lane, for its entire length.

The closure is scheduled to start on June 14 and will be in place until December 12, or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.

It will be in place while improvements including resurfacing of the footpath is undertaken. The alternative route will be via Rawreth Lane, Rawreth Lane Industrial Estate Road and vice versa.

Vicarage Hill, South Benfleet

This road will be closed from its junction with High Road to its junction with Essex Way.

The closure is scheduled to start on June 12 for 89 days.

It is required for the safety of the public and workforce while main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent. An alternative route is available via High Road, Essex Way and vice versa.

 Mountnessing Road, Billericay

This word will be closed from a point about 100m northwest of its junction with The Links for a distance of about 75m in a northwesterly direction.

It will start on June 26 and be in place for three days while gully and ditch clearance works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Mountnessing Road, Buttsbury, Ingatestone Road, Stock Road, Stock Road Roundabout, Queens Park Avenue, Perry Street Roundabout, Perry Street, Radford Way and vice versa.

Castle Road, Rayleigh

Castle Road will be closed from its junction with Castle Close for a distance of about 60m in a south easterly direction.

It will shut on June 29 for two days while pole replacement works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Castle Road, Daws Heath Road, Eastwood Road, High Street and vice versa.

Bells Hill Road, Fobbing

This road will be temporarily closed from its junction with Vange Park Road to its junction with Leonard Road.

The closure is scheduled to be in place on June 20 for one day while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Bells Hill Road, Five Bells Slip Road from Southend[1] Road Westbound, Five Bells Roundabout North, Nether Mayne and vice versa.

Long Road, Canvey

This road will be closed from a point about 70m east of its junction with Sydervelt Road for a distance of about 40m in an easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to start on June 19 for one night (7pm to 11pm) while manhole cover replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Beverley Avenue, Craven Avenue and vice versa (with access only into Canvey Road and Long Road).
