Driver dies after late-night crash on main road in Nuneaton
A car driver has died after a late night collision on a main road in Nuneaton[1]. West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) has confirmed to CoventryLive that medics battled to save the man, who has not been identified but was aged in his 30s, but he was pronounced dead at the scene in Tuttle Hill.
Four ambulances, a critical care car, firefighters and police officers raced to the scene at just before 11.40pm last night. They found that the car had been involved in a collision.
A WMAS spokesman said that it is understood that he suffered a medical episode at the wheel. “We were called to a single car road traffic collision on Tuttle Hill, Nuneaton at 11.38pm last night. Four ambulances and a Critical Care Car from the Air Ambulance Service attended the scene.
“Upon arrival we found a man who was the driver of the car who is believed to have suffered a medical incident at the wheel. He received advanced life support from ambulance staff at the scene. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of ambulance staff nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
