Biker suffers serious injuries in crash as police launch witness appeal

Police are appealing for witnesses after a biker was seriously injured following a crash in Rhyl[1]. It happened on Friday night.

The man was initially taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, in Bodelwyddan[2], but was later transferred to the Royal Stoke University Hospital, which has a major trauma centre. A North Wales Police[3] appeal today said: "A motorcyclist remains in hospital with serious injuries following a collision in Rhyl on Friday night (June 3).

"At approximately 9:30pm a collision occurred on the junction of Pen y Maes Avenue and Dyserth Road which involved a black coloured Fiat 500 and a white and gold coloured Kawasaki motorcycle. Unfortunately, the male motorcyclist was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd by ambulance; but he has since been transferred to hospital in Stoke with serious injuries."

PC Haydn Roberts-Powell of the Roads Policing Unit is appealing for information. He said: ā€œIā€™m urging anybody who may have been in the vicinity of Dyserth Road and Pen y Maes Avenue in Rhyl shortly before 9:30pm on Friday and who may have CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch with us as soon as possible.ā€
