Biker injured in crash at busy roundabout

A biker was injured in a crash at a Weymouth roundabout.

The crash at the Veasta Roundabout took place during the busy rush hour period, yesterday, Thursday June 29, at 5.15pm.

Police officers attended the scene along with the ambulance service.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital for treatment, with injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-threatening.

The incident caused long tailbacks for southbound traffic on the A354 Weymouth Relief Road.

Officers left the scene at around 6.30pm, a Dorset Police spokesman said.
