Atomic Comics to open new shop in Yeovil town centre after relocation
A new shop is set to open in Yeovil town centre today (June 10) – although the store will feature some familiar faces. Atomic Comics will open a brand new shop after relocating from its previous base at Glovers Walk.
The store is well-known among local gaming, comic and trading card enthusiasts. It has been operating in the town for many years.
But now it’s on the move and will open a new shop at the Quedam Centre. Founded and managed by Caleb Holland and Alex O’Donnell, Atomic Comics will open at the former Quiz unit today.
Mr Holland revealed staff are “really excited to be joining the Quedam”. He said: “We look forward to bringing our events, friendly community of gamers, and most importantly; our customers both new and old with us.
“Since we opened in 2011 our business has been going from strength to strength. This represents our most significant milestone so far.
“We’ve been working hard and we’re confident customers will love our new and improved store. We hope lots of people check us out on our opening day June 10.”
Already renowned for its great service and selection of amazing items, Atomic Comics will stock a vast array of comics and memorabilia, and are also an official stockist of Warhammer, the highly popular miniature wargame. The team plan to open on June 10 with a free comic giveaway and a costume competition with prizes.
James Tovey, centre manager at the Quedam Centre, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Atomic Comics to the Quedam. We’ve been keen for Caleb and Alex to make the move to the centre for several years and are thrilled that it’s finally happening. We can`t wait to see the doors open and wish the team our very best.”
