A5 left ‘blocked’ following crash between lorry and van – updates

Motorists are being warned that part of the A5 is shut this morning following a collision. Traffic monitoring system Inrix is reporting the crash has involved a lorry and a van on the stretch in Churchbridge – between Cannock and Great Wyrley.

The collision has occurred between the M6 turn-off and Norton Lane. The alert, created at 9.25am, states: “A5 Watling Street in both directions blocked, queueing traffic due to accident, a lorry and a van involved from M6 Toll JT7 (Churchbridge / Great Wyrley ) to Norton Lane. Sensors confirm both sides are closed.”
