Serious crash involving lorry closes main road for six hours

A serious collision involving a lorry closed a main road between Gloucestershire and Worcestershire for six hours this morning (Sunday, June 11). The incident was on the A46 near Ashton under Hill.

The road was closed in both directions between the A435 (near Teddington Hands Roundabout) and the A4184 (near Evesham) from around 4.45am to 11.05am.

National Highways said the closure was affecting traffic between the M5 at Tewkesbury^[1] and Evesham.
