A34 in Oxford closed again for works on viaduct
The A34 will be closed northbound between the Botley and Peartree Interchanges from 9pm on Friday to 6am on Monday.
National Highways continues to carry out essential repairs to the A34 viaduct over the River Thames near Wolvercote and needs to close the road over a series of weekends.
It will close again next weekend.
During these times, National Highways said there will be additional lane closures on the southbound stretch to keep the workforce and travelling public safe.
National Highways said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
A fully signed diversion will be in place via Eastern Bypass Road, A40 and A44 between the Peartree and Hinksey Hill Interchanges.
Meanwhile Network Rail are replacing Botley Road bridge as part of their major upgrade to Oxford[2] Station.
Botley Road will be closed for two periods of around six months each from 11 April to October 2023 and again between March and October 2024.
