20 jobs created as exact opening date revealed for Coventry …

Starbucks will soon be opening at Arena Shopping Park[1] in Coventry[2]. It will open to the public for the first time at the end of July.

Starbucks[3] will be housed in the former Pizza Hut[4] which permanently closed last year. Customers will soon be welcomed to the brand-new coffeehouse and drive-thru in Longford[5].

Contractors have been seen at the site in recent months[6] as work nears completion ahead of the planned opening on Tuesday, July 27. Coffee lovers can get their fix at the brand-new restaurant from 5am until midnight, planning documents say.

CoventryLive[8] understands that part of the existing building was bulldozed to make way for a drive-thru lane nearby. Starbucks[9] previously said that 20 jobs have also been created.

It marks a triumphant return for the coffee chain to Arena Shopping Park[10] after the closure of the branch above New Look[11] in 2020. Starbucks[12] appears to be expanding all over the UK with several new coffee shops opening elsewhere in the country, including in Derby and Reading.

A spokesman for Starbucks[13] said: “We look forward to bringing the Starbucks Experience to customers in Coventry[14] in the near future.” Arena Shopping Park[15] added: “Starbucks'[16] opening is scheduled for July 27.”
