Woman seriously injured after being hit by car

A woman was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Swindon[1] on Friday night (May 12). Wiltshire Police is appealing for information following the collision on Mannington Lane.

Officers say it happened at some time between 11.30pm and midnight. The driver stopped and asked the victim, a woman in her 20s, if she wanted an ambulance but didn’t remain at the scene.

The force is now appealing for the driver to come forward after the woman sustained serious arm injuries. He is described as a white male, aged in his 40s, with dark brown hair.

Investigating officers are also keen to hear from anyone who saw the crash or who has relevant dashcam footage. They are urging people to make contact on 101.

Wiltshire Police[3] said in a statement: “We are appealing for the driver to come forward, or for anyone with information about the driver to contact us.

“We are also appealing for any witnesses or anyone who has potential dashcam footage around that time to come forward. If you can help, please contact us on 101 quoting reference 54230049990.”
