Woman dies at McDonald’s despite attempts to save her

A woman tragically died at a town McDonald’s after suffering a medical emergency. The woman collapsed at the Maccies branch in Bromsgrove Road[1], Halesowen, at around 2.47pm on Tuesday (May 16).

Paramedics rushed to the fast food restaurant where they found the woman in a ‘critical condition’. Sadly, they were unable to save her despite administering life support.

She was announced dead at the scene. A coroner report into the cause of her death is expected over the coming days.

A West Midlands Ambulance spokesperson told BirminghamLive[3]: “We were called at 2.47pm on Tuesday (May 16) to a medical emergency at an address on Bromsgrove Road in Halesowen.

“Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a BASICS emergency doctor and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car from Strensham attended the scene where. On arrival, crews found a female patient in a critical condition and immediately began administering advanced life support.

“Sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts, it became apparent that nothing could be done to save her. She was confirmed dead at the scene.”
