WORCESTER drivers hoping to enjoy a holiday or daytrip to Wales have been warned about the closure of a major route.
People hoping to travel to Pembrokeshire in Wales will need to follow a diversion as the A40 in Pembrokeshire near Llandewi Velfrey will be closed between June 16 and 19.
Worcester drivers will need to rely on the M5, M49, M4, A48, A477 and A40 in order to get to the county in Wales.
Irene Thomas contacted the Worcester News saying: "If any of your readers are heading for Pembrokeshire over the weekend 16th to 19th June they may want to know the main road - A40 in Pembrokeshire near Llandewi Velfrey will be closed all weekend as the new part of the A40 is linked to the original road.
"I am originally from Stourbridge so am aware of how many people come down this way."
Essential work is being carried out on the roads but there will be a diversion route outlined for Emergency Services.
