Upcoming north and mid Essex roadworks to watch out for | Gazette

Osborne Street, Colchester, will be closed from its junction with Vineyard Gate for a distance of approximately 50 metres in a south easterly direction for three nights from July 6.

The bus lane on Osborne Street will also be temporarily suspended from its junction with Stanwell Street – south eastwards for a distance of 20 metres.

The closure and restriction are required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council[1].

Station Road, Ardleigh, will close from a point approximately 190 metres south of its junction with Mary Warner Road for a distance of approximately 185 metres in a south easterly direction from 11pm on June 17 to 6am on June 18 while track inspection works are undertaken by Network Rail.

Hamlet Drive, Colchester, will be closed from its junction with Avon Way for a distance of approximately 40 metres in a north westerly direction for four days from May 30. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole installation works are undertaken by Hutchison 3G[2].

Anglian Water connection works will close Heath Road, Fordham Heath, from a point approximately 20 metres south east of its junction with Wood Lane for a distance of approximately 30 metres in a south easterly direction for three days from May 31.

Townsend Road, Tiptree, will be closed from a point approximately 65 metres north east of its junction with Kelvedon Road for a distance of approximately 55 metres in a north easterly direction for four days from May 30 while maintenance works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

Turkey Cock Lane, Stanway, will be closed from its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 740 metres in a north westerly direction for five days from May 29 while fibre optic broadband installation works are undertaken by Gigaclear.

The Avenue, North Fambridge, will be closed from its junction with Crouch Road for a distance of approximately 50 metres in a north easterly direction for four days from June 12 while carriageway re-surfacing works are undertaken by Buxted Construction Limited.

Park Drive, Maldon, will be closed from a point approximately 160 metres north west of its junction with Jersey Road for a distance of approximately 25 metres in a north westerly direction for two days from June 14 while pole and cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

Meadway, Maldon, will also be closed from its junction with Park Drive for a distance of approximately 25 metres in a south westerly direction during the same period.

Lucking Street, Great Maplestead, will be closed between Church Street and Toldish Hall Road for five days from June 2 while drainage replacement works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Mount Hill, Halstead, will be closed from Chapel Hill to White Horse Avenue for four nights from June 12 while footway and carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
