Tributes paid to dads killed as multiple motorbikes crash

Tributes have been paid to two loving dads who were killed when 'multiple motorbikes crashed'. Emergency services rushed to the scene in South Staffordshire after reports a number of motorcycles had collided.

Paramedics were unable to save two men and they died following the crash in Blackhalve Lane, in Essington - near Wolverhampton. Adam Humpage, from Coven, and Nathan Duval, from Willenhall[1], have now been named by police as the crash victims.

Families of both men have since spoken out over their heartbreaking loss. Paying tribute to 25-year-old Mr Humpage, his family said: "He was such a loving and wonderful son, brother and daddy.

"Our lives will never be the same." Mr Duval's family also paid tribute to the 35-year-old and said: "Nathan was the pride and joy of his family, with his infectious character.

"A daddy to two precious boys, he was our absolute world - an incredibly loved partner, daddy, son, brother and grandson. None of our lives will ever be the same, we love and miss you.

"We would appreciate privacy to allow us to remember him and come to terms with such a huge loss." A file is currently being prepared for the coroner's officer over the deaths, Staffordshire Police[3] said.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to step forward. They are also on the search for dashcam footage of the area at the time of the smash, which happened just after 6.40pm on Saturday, May 20.

Staffordshire Police said: "We were called at 6.41pm on Saturday (May 20) to Blackhalve Lane, in Essington, following reports that a number of motorcycles had collided. Officers went to the scene with colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service.

"Adam Humpage, aged 25, from Coven, and Nathan Duval, aged 35, from Willenhall[4], were pronounced dead by paramedics a short time later." Email the collision investigation unit at [email protected][5], contact the force using Live Chat on its website or call 101, quoting incident 745 of May 20.
