Southern Vectis bus passengers injured in Newport crash

MULTIPLE bus passengers were injured - and one was taken to hospital - in the wake of a crash in Newport this morning (Wednesday), Southern Vectis has confirmed.
Emergency service teams were called to the scene on St James' Street at around 7.30am after a bus collided with another vehicle.
Police and paramedics were among those to respond to the incident and the road was closed for a time.
Dave Miller, Southern Vectis assistant operations manager said: "Some passengers suffered minor injuries, which were checked by paramedics.
"One passenger, with a pre-existing condition, was was taken to hospital as a precaution.”
