Schoolboy, 13, fighting for life after being struck by car
A SCHOOLBOY is fighting for his life after being hit by a car in Glasgow.
The lad was struck by a red Toyota Aygo yesterday afternoon[1] on Balmore Road, Glasgow[2].

Emergency crews, including three ambulances[3] and a trauma team, were scrambled to the scene of the crash.
The lad was then raced to the Royal Hospital for Children[4], where medics describe his condition as critical.
Cops shut down the road for five hours after the crash around 5:55pm.
Officers are urging anyone with information who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
Police have also urged that the driver of a white lorry that was in the area at the time the boy was hit.
Police Scotland’s[5] Sergeant Nicholas Twigg said: “We are appealing for anyone who was in the area around this time and who witnessed the crash to contact us.
“We are particularly keen to hear from the driver of a white lorry who we believe was in the area around the time of the incident and may be able to assist us.
“I would also ask anyone who was on the road at the time and who may have dash-cam footage to get in touch.”

A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 17:49 hours on Wednesday to attend an incident on Balmore Road in Glasgow.
“We dispatched three ambulances and our trauma team to the scene.
“We transported one teenage patient to the Royal Hospital for Children.”
