Road closures in Wiltshire among latest public notices

B4643 (Part), Chippenham: From its junction with B4528 for a distance of approximately 575m in a northerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out safe access to carriageway boxes and associated works.

Alternative route via B4643 (unaffected length) – A4 -B4528 and vice versa.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This order will come into operation on June 14 and the closure will be required between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm for two days.

C106 (Part), Brinkworth: From its junction with C88 for a distance of approximately 30m in a westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out a chamber replacement to restore service and other associated works. Alternative route via C106 (unaffected length) – C104 – C67 – Queen Street – C88 and vice versa. This order will come into operation on June 5 and the closure will be required for three days. 

Southward Lane (Part), Aldbourne: From its junction with Farm Lane for a distance of approximately 80m in a southerly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out service pipe repair in the carriageway. Alternative route via B4192 – Newtown Road – Hilldrop Lane and vice versa. This order will come into operation on June 5 and the closure will be required for three days. 

C226 (Part), Seend: From its junction with Pelch Lane to its junction with Row Lane to enable Openreach to carry out access to boxes for works and associated works. Alternative route via C226 (unaffected length) – A361 – C20 – C226 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This order will come into operation on June 6 and the closure will be required between the hours of 9am and 3pm for two days.

Frogwell (Part), Chippenham: From its junction with Hungerdown Lane to its junction with Weavern Court to enable Wessex Water to carry out section 81 manhole cover replacement. Alternative route via Frogwell (unaffected length) – Lords Mead – Hungerdown Lane and vice versa. This order will come into operation on June 6 and the closure will be required between the hours of 9am and 4pm for two days. 

Monkton Hill (Part), Chippenham: From its junction with St Marys Place for a distance of approximately 62m in a southerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out rebuilding of boundary wall alongside electrical substation and associated works. Alternative route via Monkton Hill (unaffected length) – New Road – Station Hill and vice versa. This order will come into operation on June 5 and the closure will be required until June 23.

C101 (Part), Minety: From its property known as Field End for a distance of approximately 420m in a north easterly direction to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out urgent works to remove barrier panels, tamp through the area and other associated works.

Alternative route via C101 (unaffected length) – C99 – C76 – C90 – C101 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

This order will come into operation on June 6 and the closure will be required between the hours of 11.15pm and 5.15am for one night.
