Signaling fault fixed but disruption may continue
National Rail has confirmed the signaling fault on the train line between Trowbridge and Chippenham has been fixed but there may still be delays or cancellations.

National Rail says: “An earlier fault with the signalling system[3] between Chippenham and Trowbridge has now been rectified. “As service recovers, trains may still be cancelled or diverted.
Disruption is expected until 12:00.” Customer Advice Passengers from Melksham are advised to use the customer help point.
Passengers for Melksham are advised to travel to Chippenham or Trowbridge where rail replacement transport has been arranged to run towards Melksham.
The replacement road transport may run later than the advertised train times due to the additional time taken by road between stations, and the time required for loading and unloading at each stop.
