THERE is “major disruption” on the c2c line between Stanford-le-Hope and Pitsea due to damage to the overhead wires.

c2c say disruption is expected until the end of the day, and train services via Stanford-le-Hope will be revised.

The issue first began yesterday afternoon following “extensive” damage to overhead wires.

This was caused by a road vehicle striking the level crossing barriers.
