A motorcyclist is fighting for their life after a crash with a car on a rural road near Oxford. The incident occurred on Monday (May 15) at 5.50pm.
On the A4074 between Berinsfield and Nuneham Courtenay, a grey Vauxhall Zafira was involved in a crash with a grey Ducati motorcycle. The rider of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries.
Police said that he was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where he remains in a critical condition. The driver of the car was not injured.
Investigating officer PC Harry Welch, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “This collision occurred on a busy stretch of the A4074 during the evening rush hour and I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this to get in contact with Thames Valley Police.
“I’m particularly appealing to the driver of a Range Rover who was travelling towards Oxford on the A4074 behind the car involved in the collision, as I believe they will have vital information that can assist this investigation.
“I would also ask anybody else who was driving in the area and has dash-cam in their vehicles to please check this and get in touch if it has captured the collision or the moments leading up to it.
