M2 lorry crash halts traffic on both carriageways – updates

Kent Fire and Rescue Service has issued a statement about the crash on the M2:
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a crash involving two HGVs on the M2 coast-bound, near to Junction 2 for Strood, Rochester.
Five fire engines were sent to the scene, as well as the technical rescue unit, where crews helped to rescue a person from one of the vehicles, who was passed into the care of paramedics.
The carriageway was closed in both directions while emergency services worked at the scene.
The London-bound side has since reopened but people are advised to check traffic updates before travelling towards the affected area.
