There were long delays on the M11 in Cambridgeshire on Wednesday morning, May 17, after a crash between two vehicles caused one to overturn, and long queues to form. Police said that "no injuries" were reported, despite an ambulance being called.
The incident occurred on the southbound stretch of the motorway at junction 10 at the intersection with the A505.
Police said: "We were called with reports of a collision on junction 10 on the M11 southbound at Duxford at 7am today (17 May). There were two vehicles involved, one on its side and the other facing the wrong direction, both located on the hard shoulder. An ambulance was called, but no injuries were reported. The road was clear at 8.18am."
The incident was first reported by Inrix at 7.31am, which stated: “M11, Cambridgeshire, Queueing traffic due to earlier overturned vehicle on M11 Southbound at J10 A505 (Duxford).”
Approximately twenty minutes afterwards Inrix reported that “all lanes [had] been reopened.” At 8.14am, Inrix reported the road had finally cleared: “Traffic easing, earlier overturned vehicle on M11 Southbound at J10 A505 (Duxford).”
