Lane closed after lorry crash near M5 Gloucester Services

An incident on the M5 Northbound near Gloucester Services is causing traffic to build up on a busy day for the region's motorways, with many train services delayed or cancelled due to industrial action. One lane has been closed following the lorry-involved incident.

Shortly before 1 pm, one lane was shut to vehicles after an accident involving a lorry on the Northbound carriageway between Junction 12 and Junction 11A on the M5. Motorway sensors say that traffic is continuing to build.

Traffic monitor Inrix reads: "Slow traffic and one lane closed due to accident, a lorry involved on M5 Northbound after Gloucester Services. Gloucester Service are located on the M5 between J12 and J11A."
