Heartwarming moment deer released after firefighters rescue it from …

Firefighters recorded the heartwarming moment a stricken deer was released after it was recued by emergency staff. The injured animal had become trapped in a fence, a spokesperson for West Midlands Fire Service[1] has said.

Dudley-based[2] fire crews came to the rescue and helped to free the injured deer last night (May 22). It was then released back into the wild with a spring in its step.

A video of the moment was shared on social media. It shows the animal wrapped in a sheet before a firefighter pulls this off of it.

The deer then runs through a clearing and into some shrubbery. Dudley[4] Fire station tweeted about the incident and joked: "Oh deer."

They said: "Red watch responded to an injured deer trapped in a fence this evening. Luckily we managed to free the animal and let him go #OhDeer."

The short clip has been viewed more than 500 times on Twitter.
