A suspected drug driver is among those stopped by police on the M3 during a crackdown on traffic offences.

Working with Thames Valley Police, Hampshire police officers were ‘strategically placed’ along the motorway to catch out criminals.

Officers stopped at least 62 vehicles, including 21 HGVs, between Southampton[1] and Farnborough on May 17.

The driver of an Alfa Romeo was stopped and arrested on suspicion of drug driving following a roadside drug wipe.

The 43-year-old man from Beckenham has since been released under investigation.
