Driver escapes injury after Shropshire crash sees lorry overturn on …
A driver escaped without injury after a lorry overturned on an A-road. The articulated lorry was left lying on its side off the A41 near Crosshills in Shropshire.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service raced to the scene at 10am today, Tuesday, May 30. The fire and rescue service said the incident involved an overturned heavy goods vehicle (HGV), with a load that was deemed non-hazardous.
Thankfully, there were no people trapped or injured. The huge vehicle was left lying on grassland next to the A-road. Three fire crews were pictured next to the lorry, with firefighters stood examining the scene.
West Mercia Police was also in attendance, with one lane blocked. Market Drayton fire station tweeted: “Incident: Mobilised 10.00 Monday by @SFRS_Control[2] with @FireHodnet[3] to RTC on A41 near Crosshills. RTC involved overturned HGV with non hazardous load.
“Thankfully no persons trapped or injured. Vehicle made safe @OFFICIALWMAS[4] @WMerciaPolice[5] on scene.”
