Comedian Paul Foot to bring ‘Dissolve’ tour show to Bradford …

Paul Foot is set to bring his Dissolve UK tour to Bradford for a show at the Alhambra Studio, Morley Street, on Friday, October 27.

It is billed as the most personal show the experienced funny man has performed on stage[1].

He has appeared as a panellist on TV shows including Would I Lie To You?, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Foot says he has fond memories of his past shows in Bradford, despite having a bad arrival during his last visit.

He suffered what he describes as mild whiplash after a large lorry carrying potatoes crashed into the back of the car he was driving on his way to a performance in Bradford. But, ever the professional, he still managed to take to the stage.

Foot says he has a fondness for Bradford but joked about the Mirror Pool in Centenary Square.

He said: “I like Bradford, I’ve performed there a few times.

“I have good memories of Bradford and walking through the town with those fountains, they are totally pointless as it never reaches above 15C in Bradford, ever. It’s a nice idea if it was in the Mediterranean.

“The last time I performed there (Bradford) I had mild whiplash after a large lorry of potatoes had gone into the back of my car.”

Foot says ‘Dissolve’ stems from his own depression and mental health crises, which he added dissolved away in an instant on March 20 last year.

He added: “It is my most autobiographical and personal show. It is the first time I have been autobiographical and personal on stage.

“I had about 29 years of mental health crises and depression. But quite an unexpected thing happened on March 20, 2022. All that just disappeared. My depression was healed in an instant. It’s a pretty amazing event to talk about in the show.

“It lasted for about three seconds. My life now is utterly serene.

“It is primarily a comedy show and it does have an uplifting and positive message to it.

“I hope that in some way it can give people hope that there is the possibility of a resolution.”
