City Audi driver tells cops: ‘I shouldn’t get tickets for parking on …

An irate Audi driver told police he gets ‘so many tickets for parking on a pavement’ in his £80,000 RS6 – but doesn’t believe he should. Soho Road Police issued another penalty in Handsworth[1] today.

Police said the Handsworth driver told them that as he leaves his motor on a wide pavement he should not be subject to prosecution. But officers said the pavement was not there for parking use.

Police said leaving a vehicle within ten metres of a junction was also an offence. They said a ticket was “on the way” to this particular motorist.

Taking to Twitter, Soho Road Police posted: “#Handsworth driver said to me he gets so many tickets for parking here and he shouldn’t as it’s a wide pavement! The pavement is not for parking & within ten metres of a junction is also an offence. Tickets on the way. @WMPolice @Trafficwmp @SohoRoadBID.”
