Cambridgeshire: Check traffic, road and rail updates
Govia Thameslink Railway – industrial action between May 31 and June 3
There will be no train service in any location on Wednesday May 31 or Saturday June 3.
Services will also be impacted until around 7am on Sunday June 4 following the strike.
On Thursday June 1, there will be knock-on disruption from the previous day’s strike.
On Friday June 2, due to strike action by the RMT union, services will be limited across the network, with a later start, an early shut down and no service in some locations.
Gatwick Express will not run between May 31 and June 3, but the airport will continue to be served by Southern and Thameslink on the days train services are operating.
Online journey planners are now updated for May 31 and June 1, with remaining dates due to appear from 27 May. Passengers are advised to check their journeys in advance at www.nationalrail.co.uk[1].
Broad Street – Ely
The road will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles from 8pm on May 31 until 6am on June 1 due to works by Anglian Water.
Waveney Road – St Ives
The road will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles on May 31 between 8am and 5pm due to works by Anglian Water.
B1040 St Ives Road – Somersham
Closed both ways to all traffic until June 1 between 9.30am and 2.30pm for surface dressing work. Weather dependent and subject to change.
A603 East Road – Cambridge
The road will be closed to all motor vehicles until June 5, between 8pm and 5am nightly, due to works by Anglian Water.
B1050 Hattons Road – Longstanton
The road will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles for two days between May 25 and June 7 for surface dressing works from 8am until 6pm daily. These works are weather dependent and subject to change.
B1104 Station Road/Isleham Road – Chippenham
The road will be closed to all motor vehicles for one day between May 25 and June 2 for surface dressing works from 9.30am until 3.30pm. These works are weather dependent and are subject to change.
St Mary’s Street – Farcet
The road will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles between May 31 and June 2 due to works by Anglian Water.
High Street – Cambridge
The road will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles until June 2 due to works by Cambridge Water.
Over Road – Willingham
The road will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles until July 7 due to works by Cambridge Water.
Coneygear Road – Huntingdon
The road will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles until June 2 due to works by Anglian Water.
Globe Lane – Alconbury
The road will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles until June 2 for works.
A1123 Stretham Road – Wicken
The road will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles until June 1 due to works by Anglian Water.
Milking Slade Lane – Great Gidding
Closed both ways to all traffic until August 6 between 7am and 5pm due to works by the National Grid.
