BMW smashes into metal railings during ‘anti-social’ car meet
A BMW crashed into metal railings before ending up on the grass verge after a crash following a car meet at an Essex Reservoir. Essex Police were called to Abberton Reservoir - a pumped storage freshwater reservoir just south of Colchester - at around 6.30pm on Sunday (May 21).
Essex Police say that in the lead up to the crash, they believe a number of vehicles had been driven "anti-socially", including a motorbike which failed to stop for officers when directed.
Officers are now investigating the circumstances which led up to the collision and carrying out enquiries to locate the motorbike. Essex Police are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
