Biker dies in horror crash with lorry on Scots road

A BIKER has died following a fatal collision with a lorry.

Emergency services[1] raced to the scene of the horror crash involving the Volvo HGV half a mile west of Dalmally in Argyll and Bute[2] at around 2.30pm on Wednesday, May 24.

The male rider of a black Yamaha motorcycle was tragically pronounced dead[3] at the scene.

Police[4] locked down the area and sealed off the road for six hours whilst a full collision investigation was carried out.

The road reopened at around 9pm.

Cops have confirmed that enquires into the circumstances behind the crash are currently ongoing.

They are urging anyone who may have seen something, or anyone who may know something, to speak with officers.

They are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area from the time of the crash[5].

Sergeant Archie McGuire of Argyll and West Dunbartonshire Road Policing said: “Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.

“I am appealing for anyone who saw either vehicle, and who has not already spoken to officers, to get in touch.

“I would also ask anyone who was in the area around the time of the crash and who may have dash-cam footage which could assist to contact us.”
